If you haven't watched the video mentioned in an earlier post, you should before you read this. I'm going to put the translation in a comment to this post, so it won't spoil the fun. Remember, the goal is to figure out what the ladies are saying and/or asking (while you listen to Kim, Elizabeth, and Linda guessing/responding).
BTW, not only is Elizabeth working hard over here, she started a class in "Medical Terminology" and had to take her first test (online) yesterday. So she is simultaneously learning Greek, Latin, and Romanian. While certain other member of the team lapse into French or Spanish when they get confused.
And I still have a desire to laugh every time I see the "Bank of Transylvania" (which is NOT a blood bank).

O.K. here's the translation (according to Radu).
Fist, did you notice that the girls latched onto the word "mare", pretty confident that it means "ocean" (as it does in most languages)? They guessed the Romanian ladies were asking something about California being near the ocean.
It turns out, in this context, the word "mare" mean "big". The Romanian ladies were saying that California is a city, over four times as big as Sibiu (population about 22,000).
Maybe you had to be here to see Radu cracking up the first time he watched it...
Should I be concerned they were discussing what NOT to say to the police. Hopefully they went on and taught the correct way to be polite to the police, though just stay out of trouble in the first place! :-) Glad to see any snippets of life that you guys are encountering there. Keep up the great work!
WOW! It is such a blessing to read all about the food, fun, adventure and hard work that you guys are experiencing.
Been praying for the team daily. Keep up the great work....enjoy....have a safe trip home.... and be blessed!
